CAPTAIN MARVEL WAS AMAZING

Recently, I have seen the marvelous (see what I did there) Captain Marvel and I have to say, I am very happy with the result.

WARNING! SPOILERS (probably)!!!

Why was I happy with Captain Marvel?

LET ME LIST THE WAYS!

• A female character who’s clothing was not sexualised

• A female character who’s fighting style was not sexualised

• A female character nit being used as a romance plot

• A female character WITH NO ROMANCE (What?! Omg is that even legal?!)

• A female character which was strong and could do a ‘man’s job’

• A female character who fought misogyny IN THE MOVIE

• A female character who had a male friend and proved that males and females can be JUST FRIENDS

• A female character that , although was very strong physically, was not afraid to show her emotions and cry when they needed to

• A female character that did not confirm to stereotypes

• A female character that made up their own mind

• A female character that didn’t need to prove themselves

• AND FINALLY! Goose
